President’s Day 2025
An hour before bowling was due to start the rain came down and Mike & Shirley started dusting down the wet weather options. However by 2pm the rain had passed over although there were dark clouds all around us. Apparently it rained on WestbridgeThe weather was again kind to us for the second of our Festival Days this year. Attendance was at 40+ and 32 bowlers took part in the bowling competition.
The competition was tight and at the end of the afternoon only a few points separated the teams. The day was concluded with a lovely buffet - a truly enjoyable day.
The raffle for this years Charity, Katherine House Hospice, provided a great start to the year with £165.00 raised. Further donations put the total raised to date at £278.25. This will be added to money raised at the Stone Crown Challenge in September and Charity Day (Oct 4) and, of course, any additional donations can either be dropped in the box by the kitchen/bar or handed directly to Mike.
