Members’ & Edwards’ Cup 2025
Congratulations to Bill M & Theresa H who won the Members’ & Edwards’ Cup this year in after a fantastic final against Lynne R & Tye H.
Our first Internal competition of the year, the Member’s & Edwards’ Cup is a drawn doubles contest with 32 members competed this year. After a number of very close matches, the group winners were paired off for the semi-finals. It was all very close and Hilary & Harry and Brenda & Gerald narrowly missing out on a place in the final. The final itself was a great game to finish the afternoon and was enjoyed by players and spectators alike. It was wonderful to see our oldest bowling member win his first cup at the age of 95. (There is hope for all of us !)
The weather was kind (not as hot as predicted) and it was great to see everyone enjoying the bowling, the delicious food and each others company. We were also able to use our new gazebo and barbecue for the first time.
